Better Policing

The public are clear they want to see more police officers on their streets. This is your priority and it is exactly what Boris Johnson and Conservatives like me are delivering in government. Will put 6,000 more officers onto our streets by end of 2020-21 – the first year of our recruitment drive. That’s an additional fifty policemen and women for Lincolnshire.

Through empowering and resourcing our police to do their jobs, we are sending a clear message to criminals that they should feel terror at the thought of committing offences.

Evidence shows that broadly speaking overall levels of crime are falling, but Lincolnshire should be better resourced to meet the challenges our police face. We must ensure our towns, villages, and homes are kept safe and secure. I will work with Police and Crime Commissioner Marc Jones to fight for a sustainable and fairer funding settlement for rural parts of the country, like Lincolnshire.
