It was a joy to take part in the ceremony kicking off the demolition of the old Co-op site in Gainsborough where the Market Place is being given new life.

I spent years lobbying central government for more funding for Gainsborough and in October 2021 they came through with £10 million in Levelling Up funds.

West Lindsey District Council put an excellent plan together and the old Co-op is making way for a four-screen cinema, a restaurant, and retail sites.
