Sir Edward Leigh has backed West Lindsey District Council's bid for Levelling Up funding for Gainsborough town.
Visiting Gainsborough Market Place, the Conservative Member of Parliament welcomed the new £10-million plan for the town centre coordinated by West Lindsey District Council.
"I'm glad to see a new cinema being built in Gainsborough town centre and I give my full support to West Lindsey's bid for funding," the MP said.
"I've written to the Communities Secretary, Robert Jenrick, putting the town's case for funding to help level up, regenerate Gainsborough, and help people in the town's pockets of inequality."
"West Lindsey have worked hard to analyse what Gainsborough needs and how to go about doing it, so I'm sure Levelling Up funds would provide the boost the town needs."
