I spoke after the Home Secretary's statement and asked her to make sure her department's plans don't jeopardise the excellent deal we've secured for RAF Scampton.
We've agreed a plan with the MOD, West Lindsey District Council, and investors that would protect the site's heritage, keep the runway operational, and bring investment in hospitality and tourism.
We've moved heaven and earth to secure a good future for RAF Scampton that respects its history, keeps its runway in use, and brings jobs and innovation.
