Sir Edward: Home Office's Case for Scampton has Collapsed

The migrant crisis is a national crisis. I support the Government's efforts to stop the boats and end these dangerous and illegal Channel crossings.

We in West Lindsey are happy to do our bit to help out, but the Home Office's value-for-money case for housing migrants at Scampton has been torpedoed.

Ministers should call time, work with the District Council to find another site in West Lindsey, and let the game-changing regeneration of RAF Scampton go ahead.
