In the Commons today I pointed out that High Streets are fundamentally important to communities across Britain and we're working hard to improve the town of Gainsborough.
Our district councils are doing the hard work of looking after our high streets and communities.
I am very sceptical of the need to add another layer of government by creating an elected mayor for Lincolnshire.
Mayors are all very well for cities but our local authorities in Lincolnshire just need better and more equitable funding to get the job done.

I'm very sceptical of the need for a Mayor of Lincolnshire that could suck power and resources from our local authorities on the ground. pic.twitter.com/AjYBn0u7cv
