Sir Edward Leigh, the Conservative Member of Parliament for Gainsborough, welcomed the news that Caistor Grammar School's bid for nearly £1 million in extra funding has been approved by the Department for Education.

"Caistor Grammar is one of the pearls of our county and provides an excellent education to its pupils," Sir Edward said. "They've been doing this in buildings that really are not up to standard, but they've made do as best they can."

"This shot in the arm of new funding will go directly to improve the buildings and make sure our young people are being educated in a safe and healthy environment."
