It's now been a year since the Home Office announced it was going to attempt to house illegal migrants at Scampton.

We warned this would not be as easy as civil servants were making out and by now vast amounts have been wasted on this saga without a single migrant being houses.

We should kickstart as much of the regeneration of the site as possible as soon as possible. That's what I'm working towards.
