At Treasury Questions I had the chance to ask Ministers what fiscal steps they are taking to support small businesses.
I pointed out that becoming an entrepreneur in this country has become increasingly purgatorial over the past twenty-five years.
Small businessmen do not want more handouts and allowances from the Government.
What they want is lower, simpler and flatter taxes, and less regulation not more. I told the Financial Secretary to the Treasury that they want the Government to get off their backs and shove off.
Becoming an entrepreneur in this country is increasingly purgatorial.
