Celebrating the Platinum Jubilee

I was deeply pleased to join people across West Lindsey and Lincolnshire in celebrating the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

In Lincoln I joined the Lord Lieutenant for the lighting of the Jubilee Beacon at Lincoln Castle, and saw Lincoln Cathedral lit up in patriotic colours to honour the Queen.

In Gainsborough, I joined Cllr Roger Patterson, the Vice Chairman of West Lindsey District Council, for a jubilee lunch in All Saints Church.

Meanwhile in Tealby, the Women's Institute put on an excellent jubilee tea that was very much enjoyed by all.
