Thank you for your email regarding Dominic Cummings.

The national effort in following the guidelines set out by Public Health England has gone a long way towards our success in flattening the curve, and ensuring the NHS is not overwhelmed.

I recognise the personal sacrifices that you have made through a difficult and challenging time. Mr Cummings was himself dealing with the difficulties and challenges of child care. Based on the facts in the public domain I do not believe these are sufficient grounds for resignation, nor do I believe much is gained by media scalp hunting.

I understand the concerns you have raised are genuine ones, and I believe they should be represented to those in charge. As such, I have copied correspondence on this subject to the Prime Minister's Office for comment and have asked them to get in touch with directly with their response.
